Aaron Kerner is a teacher, editor, and literary translator from Spanish, Italian, French, and German. He received an MFA from Emerson College, and studied under Rosanna Warren at Boston University’s renowned Translation Seminar, where he was awarded the Traum Prize for Literary Translation. He has worked as Editorial Director for Boston’s independent press David R. Godine, Publisher; as an Assistant Editor at Dalkey Archive Press; and as a freelance copyeditor, proofreader, and foreign-language reader at presses including New York Review Books, Farrar Straus & Giroux, Verso, and Archipelago Books. Along with poet Jordan Zandi, he was a founding editor of the literary journal Prodigal. Currently, Aaron teaches literature and film studies at the Commonwealth School in Boston. He lives in Somerville, Massachusetts, with his partner and their two daughters.
